Moléculas sintéticas y extractos animales y vegetales como atractantes alimenticios para el camarón blanco Litopenaeus vannamei
Resumen
El uso de atractantes en alimento formulado se ha incrementado debido a la necesidad de optimizar la conversión alimenticia aumentando el consumo y reduciendo la pérdida del alimento para disminuir los costos de la producción. En este contexto, el presente estudio fue orientado a evaluar el potencial atractante de moléculas naturales como las aminas biogénicas (Putrescina, Cadaverina, Tiramina, Espermina y Espermidina) y sus aminoácidos precursores (Arginina, Histidina, Lisina y Tirosina), así como extractos de animales y vegetales en dietas prácticas para el camarón blanco Litopenaeus vannamei. La metodología se dividió en tres fases jerarquizadas: 1) bioensayos de quimiodetección; 2) bioensayos de quimioatracción; y, 3) bioensayos de campo en condiciones comerciales. Los tratamientos que presentaron los mejores resultados fueron la Cadaverina (incluida al 0,249%), la Arginina (incluida al 0,255%), el extracto de coco (incluido al 1,25%) y el liofilizado de langostilla (incluido al 0,298%). La adición de atractantes no sólo promovió la rápida localización del alimento, sino que también propició un aumento significativo en el consumo de la dieta comercial (de 3 a 9 veces más) y, además de presentar amplias ventajas económicas, constituye una buena práctica para la conservación del ambiente en el cual se desarrollan los organismos.
