El camarón de cultivo frente al WSSV, su principal patógeno

Resumen


La mancha blanca provocada por el WSSV (White Spot Syndrome Virus, por sus siglas en inglés) constituye hasta el momento la enfermedad más desvastadora para el camarón de cultivo. En este artículo se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica sobre el virus, la enfermedad que provoca, las armas con las que cuenta el hospedero para enfrentar su agresión y finalmente algunas alternativas exploradas por investigadores y productores para manejar la producción de camarón en condiciones de mancha blanca.
